Violin-Piano Duet
with Suzanne Ben Zakoun
The artistic friendship between Suzanne Ben Zakoun and Elsa Moatti in their piano-violin duet is woven by interacting passions for improvisation, dance, jazz and traditional musics, especially Klezmer and Sephardic musics. They met during their cursus at the Paris conservatoire and have made their way together through the repertoire in a very personal approach, associating during their performances the practice of improvisation, the creation of their own pieces, and historical pieces by Mozart, Franck, Brahms, Bloch, Ravel, Bartók, etc….
This inclusive musical proposal enables them to set free, reveal, and join very complementary facets of a sound universe in perpetual renewal.
Since 2018, they performed in the Parisian festival “La Javelle-Guinguette effervescente”, in the “Concerts Solidarité Jeunes Talents” at the Paul Brousse hospital at Villejuif , during a Musical Evening at Entraigues, and at the “Hommage Piano” festival at Couzon-au-Mont-d’Or.
